Product prices in Poland will rise again in 2023.

The peak is predicted before Easter.

This was announced by the head of the Grain and Fodder Chamber from the "Poland 2050" Movement Monika Piatkowska on RMF FM.

During the year, food prices in Poland, according to the expert, increased by an average of 23%, but this is not the limit.

"Everything will become more expensive. Fats, dairy products or bread. Before Easter, this growth will accelerate due to the increase in energy and gas prices. The increase may be 30-35 percent," says Monika Pyatkovska.

According to her, a loaf of bread can cost 8-10 zlotys (67-84 UAH), buns - 5 zlotys (42 UAH).

"The biggest problems are small and medium-sized shops and family businesses. Bread in a bakery at a price of about 10 zlotys is the norm. A bun for five zlotys is also an everyday thing. As for the availability of food, there are absolutely no problems. There is a shortage of these food products on the shelves there will be no shops," she assured.

However, she added that while there will be no shortage of food, its availability to certain segments of the population may be at risk due to high prices.

"Our grain prices rose in an absolutely non-market and uncontrollable manner during Russia's aggression against Ukraine. Grain prices are based on prices on world exchanges. The exchanges jumped. Later they fell, and today we see a decrease in grain prices, but an increase in prices for fodder. A paradox. And meat prices are rising. Why? Inflation, labor costs. This year there will be a minimum wage, fertilizers... And if the price of fodder is higher, then meat will also be more expensive," she added head of the Grain and Fodder Chamber.

We will remind, in Poland, the prices for the New Year's table in Ukraine and their country were analyzed.

It turned out that in Poland a festive table for the New Year 2023 cost Ukrainian refugees 2,422 hryvnias, in Ukraine the cost of a feast is 2,476 hryvnias.

Earlier, the Ministry of Reintegration stated that

Poland could become an economic hub for Ukraine.
