petitioner withdrew the petition

New Delhi:

The Supreme Court has cleared the committee to examine the Uniform Civil Code by Gujarat and Uttarakhand.

The Supreme Court made a big comment in this matter.

The committee should be formed under the purview of the state government to examine the Uniform Civil Code.

The formation of the committee itself is not the basis for challenging it in the court.

The Supreme Court refused to hear the petition against the formation of a committee to examine the implementation of the UCC by the governments of Gujarat and Uttarakhand and Gujarat.

During this hearing, the bench of CJI DY Chandrachud and Justice PS Narasimha said that they have constituted a committee under the executive powers under Article 162.

what's wrong with that?

Either you withdraw the petition or we will dismiss it.

A petition cannot be filed saying it is against the constitution only on the formation of a committee.

In this case the petitioner withdrew the petition.
