Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova, who is on a business trip to Antalya, Republic of Turkey, to participate in the 13th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), met with the Chairman of the Islamic Council of Iran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, on January 9.

APA informs that the press and public relations department of the Milli Majlis released information about this.

At the meeting, views were exchanged on current issues of the bilateral agenda, the situation in the region in the post-conflict period, and other issues of mutual interest.

Speaker Sahiba Gafarova informed about Azerbaijan's initiatives in the direction of ensuring peace and security in the region and developing cooperation.

The current state of inter-parliamentary relations was also discussed at the meeting.
