Recently, Russia has suspended the attack of Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure by "

Shaheeds

".

Natalia Gumenyuk, head of the press center of the Security and Defense Forces of the "South" OK, explained that this "silence" is explained by the fact that the Russians are actively conducting reconnaissance to select targets.

She told about this on the air of the national telethon.

"The fact that they've been launching more reconnaissance drones lately might just be an indication that they're figuring out where to point their weapons. That's usually a pre-attack tactic. And we've been talking about the fact that they're not will refuse massive missile attacks, isolated strikes, and including mixed attacks, when both missiles and drones will be used. The fact that they already have trouble with weapons means that they need to analyze as carefully as possible where, where and when to strike. That is why recently our General Staff buildings are full of the downing of reconnaissance drones," she said.

Humeniuk also explained that reconnaissance drones, unlike kamikaze drones, do not carry an explosive charge.

They collect information.

"However, recently, the technology of developing operational-tactical and strike-type drones, i.e. mixed, when a reconnaissance drone detects a target and can drop a charge, has been developing very often," she summarized.

Drone attack on Ukrainian cities

Russia has been actively terrorizing Ukrainian cities since October, striking critical infrastructure and residential buildings with Iranian kamikaze drones.

Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the NSDC, said that the Russians are planning to

launch their own production of Iranian drones in the city of Togliatti.

Earlier, the representative of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Yusov reported that as of January 4,

Russia has in its arsenal about 100 Iranian kamikaze drones

, which it uses to attack Ukraine.
