Iran's Chargé d'affaires in Great Britain was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

APA's British office reports that the reason for this was the execution of Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini by the Iranian authorities over the weekend.

Foreign Minister James Cleverley said that Iran should stop brutal repression and listen to the concerns of the people.

"Today I called Iran's Chargé d'affaires to strongly condemn the heinous executions we witnessed over the weekend," the minister said.
