Power in Russia will not change through voting, only people with power can be an alternative to Putin.

This opinion was expressed by the ex-deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Ilya Ponomaryov, FREEDOM informs.

"There hasn't been a vote in Russia for a very long time, and there won't be until the moment when this government changes. And after it changes, it will be some time before the vote takes place, because it is necessary to rebuild the entire political system, re-create political parties, re-start political processes. It's a few years. Well, remember how it was in Germany after the Second World War, it took four years to reset the political system. And it will be the same in Russia, especially since the country great. Only power. And, accordingly, the only ones who can be an alternative are those who have power," Ponomarev believes.

According to the Russian oppositionist, there are

three options

for the end of Putin's regime.

The first scenario

: the coming to power in the Russian Federation of

"conditional systemic liberals"

without changing the political system.

The politician believes that the so-called "liberals" can make concessions to Ukraine, but revenge in the Russian Federation will definitely take place.

"From this rot, a new Putin will surely grow, who will surely return," Ponomarev said.

The second scenario

: the coming to power of

"hardened thugs".

"That means even more brutality, even more blood and even more violence. This scenario will be absolutely bloody. However, it will be very short-lived, because this system is unsustainable. It will definitely not be supported by the Russian elites. Therefore, I do not believe in this scenario." Ponomarev noted.

The third scenario:

"normal forces that are maturing in Ukraine and that are capable of building a democratic society in Russia."

In his opinion, the catalyst for political changes in Russia will be a military defeat in the war with Ukraine.

Earlier, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said that Russia wants to impose the so-called "Korean option" on the settlement of the war on Ukraine.

Major General of the SBU reserve Viktor Yagun believes that the Russian Federation is beginning to "fall apart" from within due to a number of problems.
