In Prykarpattia, the parents of Yaroslav Paliychuk, who died at the front, transferred part of the compensation they received from the state for their son to a charity fund.

Volunteers admit that when they found out who transferred such a huge amount to them, they could not control their emotions, TSN reports.

In Yaroslav Paliychuk's room, everything is as he left it when he went to the front.

The only thing is that his parents brought his combat shoulder bag, photos and collected four hundred copies of his artwork in an album.

"Because it is a memory of him.

His work.

Each work contains his soul, a piece of him.

And we look and remember our son", - convince the parents of the soldier.

Yaroslav earned a living by graphic portraits, which are indistinguishable from photographs.

I received orders from all over the world.

His parents have no idea who has succeeded with talent.

"Sat at night.

It happened that he didn't get out of his chair for a day," says Yaroslav's father.

But he exchanged brushes for weapons when a full-scale war began.

At the beginning of March, he came to the Military Commissariat without any correction, with weak lungs and poor eyesight.

Parents faced the fact.

"Because he is a patriot.

"I have to go, I have to go. That's why I didn't tell you anything, so you wouldn't answer me."

Because he is like that in us.

He kept saying: "I have my own mind," the parents add.

At the front, the artist became a sapper.

He didn't tell his parents much about the days of the war.

The last time he spoke with his family was on May 9, just before the Russians launched an airstrike on his part near Kurakhovo.

Posthumously, the president awarded Yaroslav Paliychuk with the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd degree.

The state paid 1 million hryvnias to his parents.

They did not hesitate what to do with the money and transferred everything to the Ukrainian military.

"To bring the victory even 1 centimeter closer.

For someone's child to come home alive.

So that mothers don't cry," says Yaroslav's mother.

Yaroslav's father asked a volunteer relative to whom to entrust the money, and he advised the "Return Alive" fund.

That's how they learned the story of the listed million.

They admit that it was difficult to quell their emotions.

"I don't know if I should be happy, or sad, or proud.

Definitely a big thank you to my father.

Especially since he has a younger son.

He definitely has something to invest in.

But his main motivation is to save the lives of others who can return home alive," the foundation says.

Although the Paliychuks did not specify where their million should go, the fund decided to do so: "Considering that the deceased was a sapper, it would be more appropriate to use the money for our sapper equipment, which we provide for the military.

In particular, for example, in the same 54th brigade in which the soldier served," they add.

Yaroslav Paliychuk's parents, gathering their strength, continue their son's struggle on their volunteer front.

Together with fellow villagers, they prepare stew for the soldiers and make their way to the village cemetery.

Further plans are not disclosed, but they say they will not stop there.
