In recent weeks, the Russians have been strengthening defensive fortifications in the temporarily occupied territories of the

Zaporizhzhia

region, especially between the cities of Vasylivka and Orihiv.

Russia maintains great strength in this sector.

This is stated in the daily overview of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain.

"The way Russia worked to improve defense shows that the commanders are most likely concerned about the possibility of major offensive actions by Ukraine in two sectors: either in the north of the Luhansk region or in Zaporizhzhia," the report says.

According to British intelligence, a major breakthrough by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region will destroy the "land bridge" between the territory of the Russian Federation and occupied Crimea, and the advance of Ukrainian troops in the Luhansk region will further undermine the main goal of the Russians - the so-called "liberation of Donbas".

The military leadership of the Russian Federation currently has to decide which of these two directions to transfer more forces for defense.

The situation in Luhansk region

Due to the significant losses of the invaders, the

repurposing of hospitals

in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk region into military hospitals continues.

Military expert Dmytro Snegiryov said that the cities of Kreminna and Svatov are currently in priority

when it comes to the general de-occupation of Luhansk region.

Serhii Gaidai, the head of the Luhansk OVA, noted that after the liberation of Kreminnaya in Luhansk Oblast

, two directions may open up

for the Ukrainian military at once .

The occupiers continue to terrorize the local population.

Recently, it became known that the Russians

blocked the village of Polovynkine in the Luhansk region to carry out "filtration measures"

, the reason being the successful hits of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the positions of the Russians - the local population is accused of helping the Ukrainian military.
