This was announced by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Interfax-Ukraine writes.

"The repair of this last active external backup line, delayed in recent days due to shelling, ensures that external power supply for essential nuclear safety and protection functions can be ensured if the plant again loses communication with the main external 750 kV transmission line," he noted. general director of the agency Rafael Mariano Grossi.

Electricity supply from the power grid to the facility is still unstable.

Communication with the Ferosplavna-1 backup line of 330 kV was lost on December 29 due to damage on the Ukrainian-controlled right bank of the Dnieper caused by shelling.

Grossi continues consultations with Ukraine and Russia, aimed at the agreement and as soon as possible introduction of a zone of nuclear safety and protection around the ZNPP.

The agency's mission reported an alarming level of fatigue among ZNPP personnel due to increased working hours and additional shifts, as well as stress caused by the war.

"The brave personnel working at the ZNPP continue to perform their duties in a professional manner, determined to maintain the safe operation of the plant," General Director Grossi summed up.
