Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, described three reasons why Russia still calmly continues the war against Ukraine.

This time, as an example, he cited one of the latest decisions of the

UN

, which in no way help to end Russian aggression, in particular, the termination of the UN mission that investigated the explosion in the Olenivska colony.

He wrote about it on Twitter.

"Why does the war continue...

1. Guterres disbanded the mission to investigate the killing of prisoners in Olenivka...

2. Because the Russian Federation... does not give the UN mission security guarantees and does not allow it to visit the place

3. The Russian Federation is a member of the UN Security Council.

But Guterres does not propose to punish the Russian Federation, as if nothing happened..." - the post reads.

It will be recalled that Podolyak described three components

for depriving Russia of its right of veto in the UN Security Council

and its subsequent exclusion from the composition of this body.

The UN disbanded the mission investigating the explosion in Olenivka

UN Secretary-General Antonio

Guterres has disbanded a fact-finding mission regarding the

July 29, 2022, explosion in Olenivska Colony, which killed dozens of Ukrainian soldiers.

The creation of the mission was announced on August 3 at the request of the governments of Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights

, criticized the UN decision to dissolve the commission

to establish the facts of the terrorist attack in Olenivka.

Lubinets noted that the UN should explain that Russia did not allow the UN mission to the site of the terrorist attack in Olenivka.
