[Instant News/Comprehensive Report] An eight-month-old British girl was born with a rare lymphatic malformation, causing body fluid to press on the upper body. Just before Christmas last year, the baby girl unfortunately developed cellulitis in her arm Symptoms, she was sent to the hospital urgently; in order to prevent similar incidents with the baby girl, the parents of the baby girl are raising funds for specialist treatment, hoping to save the baby girl from suffering.

According to comprehensive foreign media reports, the baby girl was named Joni (Journey). Her mother, Mel O'Connor (Mel O'Connor), found a cyst under the baby girl's arm through 4D abdominal ultrasound when she was 16 weeks pregnant. However, Joni was diagnosed with a rare disease "lymphatic malformation" immediately after she was born, which caused the lymphatic system in Joni's body to fail to function normally, and her body fluids kept pressing on her upper body.

Just before Christmas last year, Joni's arm was infected with cellulitis. The entire arm was twice as swollen as before, and the skin on the arm was broken, so she had to be treated with antibiotics.

Due to the large area of swollen skin on the arm, these antibiotics did not go well with the swelling.

Doctors told O'Connor that, based on Joni's condition, she was likely to contract cellulitis six times a year, so the family decided to undergo specialist surgery to prevent Joni from experiencing the same pain again.

This specialized surgery is expensive, and O'Connor raised the cost of the surgery on the "GoFundMe" fundraising platform, hoping to successfully raise the target amount of 5,000 pounds (about NT$180,000).
