[Reporter Chen Wenchan/Kaohsiung Report] An industrial safety accident occurred at a construction site of a building under construction on Baotai Road, Fengshan District, Kaohsiung City!

A worker surnamed Zhang was suspected of accidentally stepping on an empty scaffold during construction this afternoon, and fell directly from the 9th floor to the 2nd floor.

At a building construction site on Baotai Road, Fengshan District, a worker surnamed Zhang (55 years old) was suspected of accidentally stepping on an empty scaffold during construction at 3 pm this afternoon, and fell directly from the 9th floor to the 2nd floor.

Other workers heard the sound of "bang", went to check and found that the worker surnamed Zhang fell directly from the 9th floor to the 2nd floor. At 3:40 this afternoon, an ambulance was called to rescue him. Mr. Zhang died of a headshot and fractured body. He was obviously dead. No medical emergency was sent.

During the on-site evidence collection by the police, it was initially understood that it was suspected that the construction was accidentally trampled and dropped. The detailed reason is still to be investigated and clarified by the Public Works Bureau.
