During the past day, the police identified 21 drivers who got behind the wheel after consuming alcohol.

Ten of them drove after consuming alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, eleven - with more than 1.2 per 1000, and four, stopped for inspection, refused to be tested.

Eight people were found to be driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, and five refused to be tested, reports the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 

A total of 7,459 motor vehicles (MVs) were checked within the framework of the ordered specialized police operation to comply with the Road Traffic Act.

9,591 drivers and passengers were checked.

1680 slips and 492 acts for established administrative violations (AUAN) were drawn up.

The focus of the action is the prohibition of driving by drivers who have used alcohol, narcotic substances and/or their analogues, as well as driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers, the Ministry of the Interior recalls.

According to the "linear control" method, 2252 motor vehicles and 2483 drivers and passengers were checked.

For established violations, 457 slips and 103 AUAN were drawn up.

Over the past 24 hours, 16 serious accidents have occurred on the territory of the country.

Four people died and 21 were injured.

Since the beginning of the year, there have been 101 serious accidents, in which 8 people died and 147 were injured, the Ministry of Internal Affairs informs on its website.
