Fighting continues in

Soledar

, Donetsk region, but the city has not been captured by Russian troops.

Military expert Oleksandr Musienko told about this on the air of "1+1" as part of the telethon.

"The fact that this information was actively spreading (about the alleged capture of Soledar by Russian troops - ed.), and it began to enter the information space, because it was thrown there by Russian propaganda. The occupiers really approached Soledar, fighting continues on the outskirts of the city, enough uneasy situation, but, all the attacks that have been in the past day and the battles that are happening today, they are being repelled by our forces. Indeed, it is not easy there, because the enemy has thrown forces there, but these attacks are being repelled, and the whole front line from Bakhmut to Soledar - she holds on," he said.

The military expert also explained that the Russian troops now launched their attack there because they saw that they could not pass through Bakhmut, despite all their efforts, and despite the fact that fierce battles are taking place there.

"That's why they decided to try in Soledar. That is, they are looking for, in their opinion, a weak place where they can try to break through the front line, but it has not been breached anywhere today. And there are no such fatal threats anywhere. Although the fighting is difficult, but Soledar is holding on." - summed up Musienko.

Battles for Soledar

The other day, the propaganda media of the Russian Federation spread information about the alleged successes in Soledar, but the propagandists' statements do not correspond to reality.

The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Hanna Malyar, informed that

in some areas of the Donetsk region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine is advancing little

by little , but the enemy is also advancing.

And in Soledar, the situation is really difficult at the moment.

The Armed Forces

are trying to level the tactical position

, as well as inflict maximum losses on the Russians in terms of personnel and equipment.

Advisor to the President's Office Oleksiy Arestovych explained that the

occupiers are trying to cut off Soledar from Bakhmut

and cut the Soledar-Slovyansk road.
