Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Hanna Malyar informed about the current situation in the east of Ukraine.

So, according to her, in some areas of the

Donetsk

region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine is advancing little by little, but the enemy is also advancing.

She wrote about this in her Telegram channel.

"Little by little, step by step, we are moving forward. And in some areas, the enemy is advancing. Not only the regular army is advancing, but also private ones," she said.

Hanna Malyar reminded that Russia has concentrated considerable efforts there in order to reach the borders of Donetsk region or, at least, for propaganda purposes, to capture at least one populated place.

She also noted that now it is very difficult in Soledar.

"A large part of our army today is mobilized, that is, non-professional military personnel. And we, as a morally mature society, must understand that until recently, civilians were undergoing an extremely difficult both moral and physical test by the military realities of war. All people are different, and therefore the tests take place in different ways.

But all this is for the sake of our common high goal - to save Ukraine and win," the deputy minister of defense summed up.

The situation in Soledar

In Soledar, Donetsk region, heavy fighting continues with the Russian invaders, but

the Russian army does not control the city

.

The Armed Forces are trying to equalize the tactical position, as well as inflict maximum losses in personnel and equipment on the Russians.

Oleksandr Musienko, director of the Center for Military and Legal Research, said that Russia manages to advance in the Bakhmut or Soledar region due to the "support" of people -

the occupiers are simply thrown into battle without the support of equipment and artillery.

Advisor to the President's Office Oleksiy Arestovych explained that the occupiers

are trying to cut off Soledar from Bakhmut

and cut the Soledar-Slovyansk road.
