Mobilization in Russia will continue on January 15, Vadim Skibitsky, deputy head of the Main Directorate of Military Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said in a comment to The Guardian.

In his opinion, new mobilized people will be attracted to participate in offensive operations in the spring and summer in the east and south of Ukraine.

According to Skibitsky, the new mobilization in Russia may take about two months, and the possible success of the Russian troops will depend on how well they are prepared and armed.

The deputy head of Ukrainian military intelligence called the next six to eight months "the last push".

"If Russia loses this time, Putin will suffer a collapse," Vadim Skibitsky said.

  • The Russian side denies the need for a new mobilization.

At the end of December, President Putin said that the current number of people is "enough".

  • The Moscow Times wrote that the Russian media were forbidden to publish any statements about mobilization, even if members of the State Duma or the Federation Council say so.

  • On December 20, Putin signed an order on the creation of a mobilization coordination group.

  • A week ago, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov and the head of Ukrainian intelligence Kirill Budanov said that in early January, Russia will announce another wave of mobilization and close the borders to men.

Budanov predicted that they are preparing to close the borders for Russians under the age of 55 to leave the territory of Russia and Belarus on January 5, however, according to available information, this did not happen.
