District Prosecutor's Office-Plovdiv oversees pre-trial proceedings for a possible murder of Yordanovden in the city of Plovdiv.

On January 6, 2023, at around 6:50 p.m., a report was made to 112 about an incident in a box office apartment in the "Trakia" residential area in the city of Plovdiv. Police and medical teams arrived on the scene and established , that a 50-year-old man died in the apartment.  

Under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office-Plovdiv, immediate actions on the investigation began, from which it was established that the victim was shot with a gas gun, in which an important artery was affected.

A 23-year-old woman was also in the apartment. She introduced herself as his close friend.

According to the initial data, a scandal arose between the two, during which the woman shot the man with the gas gun.

The weapon was found in the apartment and seized as physical evidence.

It was owned by the man.

A duty prosecutor from the Plovdiv District Prosecutor's Office was present during the initial investigation.

The apartment where the accident happened was occupied by the man, and on January 6, 2023, his wife was visiting. 

The woman was detained for a period of 24 hours under the Law on the Interior.

The Plovdiv District Prosecutor's Office is yet to assess the grounds for indicting her, as well as those for detaining her for a period of up to 72 hours by decree of the supervising prosecutor.
