[Reporter He Yuhua/New Taipei Report] The first functional disaster prevention park in New Taipei City opened today (7) in the Shishizhang Historical Park in Xindian District. The park is equipped with independent life-sustaining water storage tanks and emergency generators. It is usually a resting space. In the event of a disaster, the recreational facilities can be immediately converted into 17 disaster prevention facilities such as stoves, which can accommodate 1,000 people for 30 days. The free Wi-Fi in the park allows the resettled people to grasp information in real time.

New Taipei Mayor Hou Youyi attended the opening ceremony and presented the flag for the heavy and light rescue teams of the Xincheng Army, inspected the fire and disaster relief drills, and also praised outstanding firefighters and rescue personnel.
