Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson discussed the situation on the front.

APA reports that the President of Ukraine informed about this on his Facebook account.

During the online meeting, Zelenskiy informed Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson about the situation on the front line and the risks of its escalation, as well as the main needs of Ukraine to strengthen its defense forces.

"We expect to start negotiations on Ukraine's membership within the framework of Sweden's presidency of the EU Council.

This is a strong motivation for our military and a common desire of our society.

We believe that this will also be a strong stimulus for unity within the EU," Zelensky said.

He also thanked Sweden for humanitarian aid and invited Prime Minister Kristersson to Kyiv.
