The Russian occupiers continue to shell the border settlements of the Kupyan, Kharkiv and Chuguyiv districts of the Kharkiv region.

This was announced this morning, January 6, by the head of Kharkiv OVA Oleg Sinegubov.

During the past day, the Russians shelled Kupyansk, Vovchansk, Dvorichna, Ohirtseve, Kislivka and other settlements with enemy artillery and mortars.

A civil industry building was damaged in Kupyansk.

And the lyceum was partially destroyed in Dvorichnaya, Kupian district.

A large-scale fire broke out there, which was extinguished for 3 hours.

According to the Regional Emergency Medical Center, a 75-year-old man was injured in Dvorichnaya.

Hospitalized in a moderate condition.



Synegubov also reported that humanitarian demining works are ongoing in the region.

During the day, specialists of the State Emergency Service defused 135 explosive objects.



Active fighting continues in the Kupian direction.

"Our defenders put up a decent fight against all the enemy's attempts to improve their tactical position there," said the head of the Kharkiv Region.

We will remind, the advisor of the President's Office Oleksiy Arestovych expressed the opinion that the 

Russian Federation can advance in several directions

: in Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Luhansk.

Perhaps Kharkiv will be "touched" because Zaporizhzhia is adjacent to Donetsk, and Kharkiv is adjacent to Luhansk.
