Russian troops are ready to advance on the Donetsk front, as evidenced by their movement, and the occupiers will begin assault attempts immediately after Christmas.

Roman Svitan, a military expert, pilot-instructor and reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told about it, "24 Kanal" reports.

The expert told where Russia is deploying its troops today. 

"Mainly - in the villages in the region of the south of Donetsk to Mariupol, from Mariupol to Gulyaipol. There is a very large dispersion of troops near Vugledar. Now they are starting to move, that is, they 

are preparing to move to local offensives after January 7-8,

" said Svitan.

At the same time, he assured that Ukrainian troops will destroy any movement of enemy forces, because the Armed Forces of Ukraine can perfectly see them at a depth of 50-70 km.

The reserve colonel also said that the private army of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation

Sergei Shoigu

was transferred to Vugledar .

It is about stormtroopers that will perform assault missions.

A certain relocation is recorded in the Soledar area.

"They are preparing for a certain breakthrough north of Soledar. We see an increase in the density of troops,

preparations for certain offensive actions in the Kreminnaya area

- towards Liman. And also Svatov, and a certain flow of troops is coming from Valuyok, and from Troitsky - towards Kup' Yanska," said a military expert.

He noted that the preparations of the Russian occupiers to start certain offensive actions on the Donetsk front  

immediately after Christmas are noticeable .

"We are preparing for this in particular, for such a movement by the Russians. And we are carrying out our offensive tasks where the weather allows," Svitan said.

What to expect at the front

We will remind, according to the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, on January 15, Russia plans to announce mobilization and collect 500,000 new occupiers in addition to the previously mobilized 300,000. The intelligence says that the aggressor will throw these forces into the offensive in Donetsk region, Kharkiv region and, possibly, Zaporizhzhia.

On January 6, the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, informed his partners from the USA that Russia is concentrating groups to carry out offensive actions.

The day before, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, warned that in February there may be a certain aggravation at the front, so it is necessary to prepare for it.

At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Russia is preparing a new wave of aggression in the war against Ukraine.
