The General Staff confirmed that the Armed Forces hit the deployment point of the Russian occupiers in the Kherson region.

It is known about 100 injured occupiers.

Despite the "truce", the Russians bombarded Ukraine with rockets and MLRS. 

This is stated in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces dated January 6. 

Over the past day, the Okupati launched 1 missile strike and fired 12 rocket salvo rockets, including at the civil infrastructure of the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

"In order to maintain the offensive potential and replenish losses, the invaders continue mobilization measures. The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on attempts to completely capture the Donetsk region within the administrative border. It is conducting offensive operations in the Bakhmutsky area and is unsuccessfully trying to improve the tactical position in the Kupyansky, Lymansky, and Avdiivsk directions. others are being defended," the message says. 

• In the Volyn and Poliske directions without significant changes, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, no signs of his formation of offensive groups have been detected.

• On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the areas of Mykolaivka settlements in the Chernihiv region and Strelecha, Krasne, Ambarne, Bugruvatka, Gatishche, Zelene and Odradne in the Kharkiv region were shelled.

• In the Kupyansk and Lymansk directions, areas of 19 settlements came under the influence of enemy fire.

  Among them are Dvorichna, Kupyansk, Kislivka, Kotlyarivka, Krokhmalne, Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Ploshanka and Dibrova in Luhansk region.

• Areas of more than 15 settlements were damaged by fire in the Bakhmut direction.

  In particular, Spirne, Berestov, Bilogorivka, Soledar and Bakhmut of the Donetsk region.

• In the Avdiivsk direction, the enemy fired tanks, mortars, barrel and jet artillery at the areas of Avdiivka, Vesele, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, Maryinka and Novomykhailivka settlements in Donetsk region.

• Vremivka, Velika Novosilka, Vugledar and Paraskoviivka of the Donetsk region were shelled in the Novopavlivskyi direction.

• Areas of 16 settlements were damaged by enemy fire in the Zaporozhye direction.

  Among them - Zelene Pole and Novopil in Donetsk region;

  Gulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Charivne, Shcherbaki and Stepove of the Zaporizhia region and Nikopol - Dnipropetrovsk region.

• In the Kherson direction, the civilian infrastructure of the settlements of Chornobayivka, Berislav, Zolota Balka and Kherson was damaged by enemy artillery shelling.

  There are casualties among civilians.

"The enemy continues to suffer losses. On January 5, 2023, the location of the Russian occupation troops in Havrylivka of the Second Kherson Region was confirmed to have been damaged. It is currently known that up to 100 wounded servicemen were brought to local hospitals. Information about the eliminated invaders is being clarified," the General Staff reported. 

During the day, the Ukrainian aviation struck the area where the Russian occupiers were concentrated.

The results of the damage are being clarified.

Units of missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out fire damage in 2 areas of the concentration of manpower and military equipment of the enemy during the day.

Russia's war against Ukraine

In the morning of the same day, Dictator Putin recorded a statement that the Russian Federation was starting "a special operation to demilitarize and de-Nazify Ukraine."

He called on the Armed Forces to "lay down their weapons and go home, because the soldiers swore allegiance to the Ukrainian people, not to the Kyiv junta."

However, the Defense Forces have been protecting Ukraine from the Russian invasion since the first day of the full-scale war. 

As of January 6, the losses of the "second army of the world" amounted to: 110,250 eliminated occupiers, 3,064 tanks, 285 airplanes, 272 helicopters.
