Due to the significant cooling that is expected in the near future and the probable missile attack by the Russians, Ukrainians should be prepared for possible blackouts. 

Prime Minister Denys Shmygal warned about this during the government meeting on Friday, January 6. 

"Warm weather and holidays contributed to a decrease in electricity consumption, which allowed us not to apply blackouts during the New Year holidays. However, already yesterday, January 5, consumption increased, so in the central and eastern regions, as well as in Odesa, Lviv, Dnipro, schedules of planned shutdowns," the head of the Ukrainian government noted. 

According to Shmyhal, the terrorist country Russia is ready for another missile attack on Ukraine. 

"A significant cooling is expected from today. Accordingly, consumption will increase and the deficit in the energy system will increase. In addition, the

war is ready to deliver another missile attack on the civil and energy infrastructure.

Therefore, we should all be ready for the renewal of emergency shutdowns," he said.
