The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Hanna Malyar, said that during the nine years of the war, Russia never kept the armistice agreements.

Malyar wrote about this on the Internet on January 6, publishing detailed statistics and facts about non-compliance with the ceasefire by the Russian Federation.

Thus, the deputy head of the Ministry of Defense recalled that since 2014 and during the fighting of the anti-terrorist operation period

, there have been 11 attempts to

establish a more or less stable cease-fire regime.

The parties agreed on this within the Trilateral Contact Group:

  • from 18:00 on 09/05/2014

  • from 00:00 on 15.02.2015

  • from 00:00 on 01.10.2015

  • from 00:00 on 04/30/2016 (Easter truce);

  • from 00:00 on September 1, 2016 (school truce);

  • from 00:00 on 24/12/2016 (New Year's truce);

  • from 00:00 on 06/24/2017 (bread truce);

  • from 00:00 on 08/25/2017 (school truce);

  • from 00:00 on 23.12.2017 (New Year's truce);

  • from 00:00 on 05.03.2018

  • from 00:00 on 03/30/2018 (Easter truce).

  • "

    All of them were disrupted by the deliberate actions of the enemy

    . For example, during the so-called "comprehensive spring truce" in 2018, during the 22 days of declared "silence", the enemy fired at least 153 shots, during which six Ukrainian servicemen were killed and 12 were wounded." - said in the message Malyar.

    "Ceasefire" during the period of the OOS

    The deputy minister reminded that during the operation of the joint forces, Ukraine and Russia agreed on a cease-fire several times.

    However, as a result, the aggressor country continued to violate the agreements.

    So, in 2019 alone, the combat losses of Ukraine in the Donbas amounted to 97 dead.

    Before the start of the last ceasefire in July 2020, another 32 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, and another 220 soldiers were wounded.

    After that, another

    "full and comprehensive ceasefire regime"

     was implemented on July 27, 2020.

    However, the Russian army managed to hold it for only half an hour.

    Already around 00:20, the occupiers fired at units of the Ukrainian 36th separate brigade of marines.

    Another enemy shelling was recorded around 9:00.

    "After all, from July 27, 2020 to July 27, 2021,

    more than 2,000 enemy shellings were recorded

    . Therefore, only the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine will mean a real ceasefire and the end of aggression," the deputy minister of defense summarized.

    What is known about the ceasefire from Putin

    On January 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a "ceasefire" on the front in Ukraine for Christmas Eve and Christmas.

    This was announced unilaterally, Moscow did not agree on anything with Kyiv.

    Commenting on Putin's order, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that in reality, the Russian Federation wants to use Christmas as a cover to stop the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas and bring equipment, ammunition and mobilized troops closer to their positions.

    Already on the morning of January 6, Russia itself violated the "truce" announced by it: the enemy army fired artillery at the unit of the State Emergency Service in Kherson.

    People died and were injured there.

    At the same time, Russia has traditionally blamed Ukraine, which did not agree on anything with the aggressor country, for breaking the "ceasefire".

    Thus, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation accused Ukraine of shelling.
