The mayor's team proposes to introduce a one-time ticket at a price of BGN 1.50 and a daily ticket at a price of BGN 2 in Pernik's public transport, Mayor Stanislav Vladimirov announced.

The proposal will be submitted to the Municipal Council for approval.

It is planned that the value of the monthly card for pensioners will be reduced more than twice.

It will cost BGN 20, at the current price BGN 45. The student card will also be worth BGN 20.

The monthly card for workers has an estimated price of BGN 40, with the current one - BGN 55. An annual card will be issued for BGN 360. The cards will be valid for all municipal public transport lines.

They are currently only for one line each.

Until now, the city routes in Pernik were served only by private carriers.

The municipality of Pernik already owns 13 natural gas buses, some of which are already running on line #10 to the "Teva" district.

The vehicles were provided with the help of a project under the Operational Program "Regions in Growth 2014-2020", co-financed by the EU through the European Fund for Regional Development.

It is expected that five electric buses will be launched in the summer.

Water in Pernik is expected to increase in price by 30%

"We will apply for more electric buses. Our ambition is to cover the entire city network," said Vladimirov.

According to him, the municipality will finance the activities of the municipal company for urban transport.

Its goal is not to make huge profits, but to provide a nice, good and social service, the mayor stressed.

The public transport control system in Pernik also includes the construction of electronic information boards at the stops, as well as an electronic system for charging passengers.
