Turkey's goal in northern Syria and Iraq is to end terrorism.

Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said about this, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.

He noted that while the neighboring countries cannot do it themselves, Turkey is forced to conduct anti-terrorist operations to ensure the security of its borders.

"Our goal is just to fight terrorists, there is no difference between PKK and YPG.

We have no problem with the people there, Turks and Kurds are brothers," he stressed.

Akar added that the Turkish Armed Forces are extremely sensitive to civilians and historical monuments during anti-terrorist operations.
