Turkey's goal in northern Syria and Iraq is to end terrorism.

Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said about this, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.

He noted that neighboring countries are forced to carry out anti-terrorist operations to ensure the security of Turkey's borders when they cannot do it themselves.

"Our goal is just to fight terrorists, there is no difference between PKK and YPG.

We have no problem with the people there, Turks and Kurds are brothers," he stressed.

Akar added that the Turkish Armed Forces are extremely sensitive to civilians and historical monuments during anti-terrorist operations.
