The Luhansk OVA confirmed that Ukrainian forces are succeeding in the Svatovo-Kreminna section of the front. 

About the situation in this direction as of January 6, the head of the Luhansk OVA, Serhiy Gaidai, spoke on the air of the "Freedom" TV channel.

"Indeed, there is success on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but it

is very difficult to liberate every meter of Luhansk Oblast

. After all, they had enough time to prepare defensive lines, starting from occupations, holes in forest plantations. Plus, everything is mined. Moreover, no one has mine maps, because mines were mined both manually and remotely with the help of special equipment. Mines were also mined during active hostilities. It is difficult to move forward when there is a solid mined territory ahead. Various units were driven there. These are both freshly mobilized Russians and recently occupied men from " DPR/LPR", and "Kadyrivtsi", and special units of "SOBR", "Bars", and prisoners", he said.

Also, the official commented on the previously announced information that a significant 

part of the soldiers of the 2nd Army Corps plans to surrender

. 

"They are completely demoralized. Near them are prisoners who are constantly making fun of them, and behind them are the "Kadyrivets" who also make fun of them. They would gladly surrender themselves as prisoners, but we must not forget that the "Kadyrivets" there are not for military operations.

And for them to shoot those who want to leave the position

," the leader noted.

Counteroffensive in Luhansk region

According to information from the Luhansk OVA, the Svatove-Kreminna route, which supplies Russian troops, is already under fire control of the Ukrainian military.

This makes defense difficult for invaders.

Because of this, the Russians are bringing even more freshly mobilized and "Wagnerian" prisoners to Kreminnaya. 

Meanwhile, the occupiers blockaded the village of Polovynkine in the 

Luhansk

 region to carry out "filtration measures", the reason being the successful hits of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the positions of the Russians - the local population is accused of helping the Ukrainian military.
