The Russian occupiers are withdrawing their forces from Bakhmut towards Soledar - in this way they will try to press the city from the north.
Yaroslav Lysenko, a fighter of the "Freedom" battalion, told about this, "Apostrophe" informs.
According to the defender, the occupiers realized that "putting 500 "mobs" near Bakhmut every day and not getting anything is simply pointless."
That is why the enemy has changed tactics and is trying to take the city in a kind of semi-circle.
"Even Prigozhin already admits that the city has become a fortress, which is problematic and expensive to take. They are running out of resources, apparently, the flow of professional thugs for "Wagner" has begun to run out, so the orcs are adjusting their tactics, trying to put pressure on Bakhmut from the south and the north." - said the soldier.
In his opinion, the capture of Bakhmut will not bring the Russians anything in practical terms, but both Shoigu and Prigozhin must show at least some result at the front.
According to Lysenko, Shoigu and Prigozhin and others like them have long ceased to think about Bakhmut, but share power "after Putin" and create their personal armies for this purpose, which must be armed and provided for.
"And here the problem of the shortage and lack of shells comes to the fore. This is where the "legs" grow in the reports that Shoigu and Gerasimov, in order to drown Prigozhin, are simply saving shells for "Wagner" so that the thugs of the "cook" will expire even faster and finally sat down in a puddle," concluded a soldier of the "Svoboda" battalion.
The situation in Bakhmut: the latest news
We will remind that on December 20, President Volodymyr Zelensky unexpectedly visited Bakhmut and awarded the defenders of Ukraine.
The occupiers have been trying to seize this city since May.
It remains one of the hottest spots on the entire front line.
On January 5, it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine defeated the occupiers outside Bakhmut.
However, fierce fighting continues around the city.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the Russian army has forcibly suspended its offensive on Bakhmut and is moving armored vehicles and artillery in the direction of Soledar, located 15 km to the north.
Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the GUR, said that Bakhmut ceased to exist as a city.
