Almost 4 decades, "Chom Bueng Marathon" still stands with runners all over the country. 

Going back to the year 1985, a group of teachers at Chom Bueng Village Teachers College

interested in running for health

with Ajarn Narong Thiammek and Ajarn Somchit Sa-ngaphan as the initiators. 

At that time there were less than 100 runners, collecting an application fee of 20 baht per person. 

The starting point is at Wat Khao Bin.

The finish line is at Chomphon Cave.

Since 1992, the number of participants has exceeded 5,000 people. 

from the beginning of 10 km and 21.1 km in the name of the famous "Chom Bueng Half Marathon"

Later in the year 1999, the year of His Majesty the King's 72nd Birthday Anniversary 

The organizing committee therefore initiated

organized a full marathon, a distance of 42.195 km for the first time
