Romania is among the happiest countries in the world.

This shows a ranking within the World Happiness Report, Digi24 TV reports.

The study has been carried out for ten years by the United Nations Network for Sustainable Development Solutions and summarizes data from nearly 150 countries.

Romania increases the minimum wage and pensions from January 1

Our northern neighbors have climbed 18 places to 28th in the ranking, ahead of countries such as Spain, Italy, Croatia and Turkey.

Finland continues to hold the championship, followed by Denmark and Iceland.

Bulgaria is 85th, only three positions ahead compared to last year.

At the bottom of the ranking are Botswana (142), Rwanda (143), Zimbabwe (144), Lebanon (145) and Afghanistan (146), adds BTA.

The quality of life of people in each country is assessed based on gross domestic product per capita, life expectancy, social support, freedom of choice and the perception of corruption in each country.
