County magistrate Yang Wenke said that Hsinchu County holds the "New Year's Swag Brushes Presentation Event" every year. This year, in addition to inviting famous calligraphers from Hsinchu County to swipe brushes for the villagers as usual, this time also invited the first prize winner of the Hsinchu County Mayor's Cup National Calligraphy Competition last year to participate. , hoping to achieve the purpose of promoting the art of calligraphy through on-site observation and acquisition of the creations of these masters.

Li Anyu, Director of the Cultural Bureau of the county government, said that famous calligraphers who participated in the swipe include Hu Guolong, Wang Dequan, Zhuang Mingzhong, Li Yuanji, Chen Xiuzhen, Song Zhaoxian, and the first prize of the county magistrate's cup, Zhao Shixiong, together with Lin Yongzhong, Gao Weixi, Gong Yuying, and Luo Hejia.
