Russia sent the frigate "Admiral Gorshkov", armed with hypersonic missiles "Zirkon", to the Atlantic Ocean, and apparently, this inspired new threats from the deputy head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev.

The ex-president of the Russian Federation published a corresponding statement on the Internet.

Thus, Medvedev noted that "Admiral Gorshkov"

went "to the shores of NATO countries

".

"The main New Year's gift with the ammunition of Zircon missiles left for the shores of NATO countries yesterday. Their 1,000 km range of use with hypersonic speeds of Mach 9 and the ability to use any charge is guaranteed to overcome any anti-missile system," the statement said.

"Let it stand somewhere 100 miles from the coast, closer to the Potomac River (Washington is located on the banks of this river - ed.). So rejoice! It

will bring to mind anyone who poses a direct threat to Russia

and our allies," the Russian official emphasized.

He also threatened that Russia will speak "the language of power, if you don't understand otherwise. And will produce even more modern weapons."

We will remind you that on January 4, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, launched the frigate "Admiral Gorshkov", armed with new hypersonic cruise missiles "Zirkon", which "have no analogues".

The ship went to the Indian and Atlantic oceans with a destination in the Mediterranean Sea.
