After several days of mild and warm weather in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, starting from January 8, the weather is expected to change, it will rain occasionally, and sleet and snow will fall in some places.

APA reports that Gulshad Mammadova, director of the Bureau of Hydrometeorological Forecasts, said this.

He noted that the northeast wind will occasionally intensify in some parts of the peninsula from the evening of the 7th to the day of the 8th.

The air temperature will decrease by 10-12 degrees compared to the previous days, and on January 10-11, it will be 2 degrees at night and close to 0 degrees during the day:

"Starting from the northern and western regions of Azerbaijan, from the evening of January 7 to the 12th, the weather in the country is expected to change, it will occasionally rain, sleet and snow will fall in some places, and it will intensify in some places."

G. Mammadova noted that the west wind will occasionally strengthen in some places.

The air temperature will decrease by 10-12 degrees compared to the previous days, it will be 0-5 degrees of frost at night, up to 4 degrees of heat during the day, and 10-15 degrees of frost at night and 5-8 degrees of frost in the daytime.

There is a possibility of icy roads due to the expected rainy and frosty weather conditions.
