In Kyiv Oblast, DTEK's emergency crews have been placed in heightened mode due to possible power grid accidents, as worsening weather conditions are expected in the region.

This was reported by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

The KMDA urged residents of the region not to overload the network and not to turn on all electrical appliances after turning on the light.

Such measures will help reduce the risk of accidents.

"Emergency teams of DTEK Kyiv regional networks have been put

into enhanced mode and work 24/7 to eliminate possible accidents in a timely manner.

We urge residents of the Kyiv region not to overload the network during the cold weather. After the light appears, turn on the electrical appliances one by one. This will help to avoid accidents," the message says.

According to the Ukrhydrometeorological center, on January 6, the weather is expected to deteriorate in the region - rain with transition to sleet, ice, wind gusts up to 20 m/s in places and a significant drop in temperature are forecast.
