With 129 votes "for", 54 "against" and 8 "abstentions", the people's representatives adopted the report on the activities of the Temporary Commission to establish all the facts and circumstances related to the signing and termination of the memorandum for 1 billion dollars with Gemcorp Holdings Limited and IP3 Corporation from Kiril Petkov's government, as well as a draft decision on the report.

"It is a pity that instead of the National Assembly passing meaningful laws, we are debating a fabricated and fictional report. We have much more meaningful cases to deal with. These are fictional reports on fictional topics. Today it happened from the elephant microbe. The story for "Jemcorp" is a widely inflated fiction of GERB", said Iskren Mitev from the PP in explanation of a negative vote.

Inspection of the memorandum with Gemcorp revealed startling violations

During the discussions, Venko Sabrutev from "We continue the change" once again emphasized that the memorandum with Gemcorp is a non-binding document.

"It is a matter of a letter of investment intent, the memorandum has been terminated without sanctions for the Bulgarian state and the companies have no claims against it," the deputy specified, stressing that there were no established financial or other damages for the state as a result of the signing, operation and termination of the memorandum.

The chairman of the temporary commission, Desislava Trifonova (GERB-SDS), said that she felt like she was in a drama club, and Sabrutev learned the lines from the stand.

"We are continuing the change" they lied from the very beginning, from the day the memorandum was signed, she said and noted that the amount under the memorandum is BGN 1 billion.

Kiril Petkov compared the "Jemcorp" saga to an old joke: "it wasn't computers, it was compotes".

"And here it is not a contract, but a non-binding memorandum, it is not to drain funds, but to attract investments, it is not for 1 billion dollars, and in reality there is not even an amount", he declared.

Desislava Trifonova (GERB): DANS did not check Gemcorp

During the debate, Delyan Dobrev (GERB-SDS) and Asen Vassilev ("Continuing the Change") once again entered into an argument about the price of gas and fuel, intermediaries in supplies, as well as the financial and economic policy of the previous government.
