11,063 motor vehicles were checked as part of the ordered specialist police operation to comply with the Road Traffic Act.

Emphasis in the action is the prohibition of driving by drivers who have consumed alcohol, narcotic substances and/or their analogues, as well as driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers.

Within the past day, a total of 23 drivers were found to have got behind the wheel after drinking alcohol - 9 of them drove after drinking alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, 14 - with more than 1.2 per 1000, and six stopped for inspection refused to be tested.

Seven people were found to be driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, and nine people refused to be tested.

From the summary data: 1,582 motor vehicles and 1,716 drivers and passengers were checked using the "linear control" method;

for established violations, 675 slips and 86 AUAN were drawn up.

One driver was found to be sitting behind the wheel after consuming alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per mille, and another - with more than 1.2 per mille.

No drivers have been identified who drove after using narcotic substances or their analogues.
