[Reporter Liao Xueru/Hsinchu Report] The long-standing traffic congestion problem in Hsinchu County and City urgently needs to be improved. Zhu County Mayor Yang Wenke and Zhu Mayor Gao Hongan have recently actively sought cooperation. She has instructed the city government team to discuss the relevant budget and cooperate with the alternative road plan for the Creek and the Jingguo Bridge road improvement plan as soon as possible, hoping to effectively relieve the congested traffic during peak hours.

Before taking office, Gao Hongan took the initiative to visit the county magistrate Yang Wenke at the Hsinchu County Government on December 22 last year. The teams of the two parties discussed transportation and other issues behind closed doors.

Today, both parties attended the 2nd anniversary celebration of the Hsinchu National Taiwan University Branch, and were interviewed again to discuss transportation issues.

Please read on...

Yang Wenke said that last year the county government proposed four major transportation plans in the meeting, all of which required the cooperation of the Zhushi government, including the replacement of Taiwan Line 1 (118 lines to Taiwan 68 lines) and the new project linking to Wuling Road in Zhushi. Part of the local cooperation fund should be borne by Zhushi City in proportion; Zhushi City government is recommended to assist the replacement road project of Kuatouqian Creek from Zhubei Xinglong Road to Zhushi Shuiyuan Road; through the National Bridge Road Improvement Project, Zhushi City government is recommended to continue in For the Zhushi side, add a north-south traffic lane; for light rail issues, the Zhushi government is requested to connect the Hsinchu light rail red line priority network to the high-speed rail Hsinchu station, and jointly share the blue line expenses.

Gao Hongan was interviewed today and said that in order to cooperate with the replacement road part of Taiwan Line 1 proposed by the Zhuxian government, the Zhushi government has asked the Finance Department and the Accounting Office to take stock of the relevant budget today, and has also instructed the Public Works Department to carry out the project payment. We hope to cooperate with Zhu County to promote it as soon as possible.

In addition, the Kuatouqianxi Substitution Road project involves section expropriation, and the Land Affairs Office has been asked to start research and development.

Gao Hongan said that since she took office a week ago, she has discussed with the traffic department many times about the traffic issues of Zhuke commuting to and from get off work. She found that this problem is indeed much more serious than everyone imagined; The start of construction of the base, in terms of the capacity and flow of the original road design and planning, will not be able to bear the increase of a large number of densely populated surrounding areas.

Therefore, she is very much looking forward to effectively alleviating the traffic tide through the above two alternative road schemes.

Gao Hongan said that regarding the current situation of traffic congestion in Zhushi City, the city government team will try to adopt short-term and medium-term supporting measures to deal with it; but in the long run, alternative roads are still an important relief strategy.

If Jingguoqiao road can be improved through the design of the locomotive lane, she believes that it will be beneficial for people to commute and go to school. She also asked the Department of Transportation to study whether there is a relevant budget to cooperate with the improvement.

Finally, there is the Hsinchu light rail. Gao Hongan said that whether it is the Executive Yuan, the Science and Technology Management Bureau, the Hsinchu County Government or the Council, there are indeed different ideas and suggestions.

The central government is holding a symposium on future light rail planning, and relevant discussions are in progress.

The operating route of the light rail depends on all parties sitting down to discuss the final resolution as soon as possible.

If we want to talk about the apportionment of funds in Zhuxian City today, she said that we still have to follow the direction decided at the meeting of the Ministry of Communications on January 18, 2011, that is, the allocation of funds should be based on the location of the lot, the proportion of the area, etc. apportionment.
