The famous fan-shaped salt field in Tainan is located on the north side of Qingkunsha. Taiyan was opened in 1975. With the salt worker's dormitory as the core, it diverges outwards to form a fan-shaped salt field. It is known as the most beautiful salt field in Taiwan. It has been idle since 2002. In order to revitalize the fan-shaped salt fields, the Tainan City Tourism Bureau has sought a forward-looking subsidy of 83 million yuan from the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Communications to build a fan-salt landscape park in Fanyan (salt workers' dormitory area). It plans to restore the landscape, strengthen basic tourism service facilities, and Repair the road on the central axis of the Yantian fan bone, and improve the fan-shaped Yantian sightseeing environment.

Among them, the artist Yang Shiyi was invited to create an ecological education and hydrophilic art work "Tree of Life" in the fan-shaped salt field, which presents the beauty of the fan-shaped salt and represents the spirit of the salt field, presenting the historical elegance and arousing the connection between people and marine culture.

This "Tree of Life" is located in the middle of Yantian Road on the central axis of Fanyan. From a distance, it looks like a pilgrimage road that pays tribute to the sea. The surrounding facilities such as the central axis road have not yet been completed, and many tourists have come to pilgrimage , and even drove off the central axis to take pictures at the Tree of Life, which is not advisable.

Guo Zhenhui, director of the Tainan City Tourism Bureau, said that the fan-shaped salt field landscape park will restore and revitalize the reuse of the fan-shaped salt field landscape to create a characteristic themed tourist corridor. Anhui Community and Qingshan Fishing Port connect with the neighboring Jiangjun Fishing Port to drive the development of tourism.
