This was announced by the office of the Prime Minister of Canada following a telephone conversation between Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Justin Trudeau, Ukrinform writes.
"The Prime Minister confirmed Canada's determination to continue providing humanitarian, military, financial and other assistance to the government and people of Ukraine for as long as necessary to preserve its free, democratic and safe future," the message reads.

The politicians discussed the latest events on the battlefield in Ukraine and condemned the shelling by the Russian military.
"The head of the government conveyed his warmest wishes to the Ukrainians, who are preparing to celebrate Orthodox Christmas despite the Russian shelling," the message reads.
Trudeau is convinced that 2023 will bring peace to Ukrainians.
"The interlocutors agreed to stay in close contact and communicate regularly," the department summarized.
In 2022, Canada provided Ukraine with financial support of $2.5 billion.
In addition, Canada provided another 2.5 billion dollars in the form of military, humanitarian and other aid.
