The editor of Kaohsiung Point today revealed that the 2023 Kaohsiung New Year event will start from Sanfeng Middle Street. At the same time, it also revealed that the 2023 Kaohsiung Lantern Festival will be moved to Zuoying Lianchitan from January 26 to February 5.

The Kaohsiung Municipal Government also confirmed that the Kaohsiung Lantern Festival will indeed be moved to Zuoying Lianchitan this year.

Local people pointed out that in the past few years, the Kaohsiung Lantern Festival was held around the Love River, while the Taiwan Lantern Festival was chosen to be held in Pier-2 and Weiwuying. The lantern festival held here will have a very Kaohsiung flavor.
