Vehicles of the Russian peacekeeping contingent (RSK) continue to freely pass through the Lachin-Khankendi road, where a protest action was held against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits in the areas under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers.

APA informs that today a passenger vehicle belonging to peacekeepers and 8 security vehicles made an unimpeded passage from Khankendi to Lachin.

Eco-activists and NGO representatives are continuing their action on the Lachin-Khankendi road passing through Shusha in protest against the illegal exploitation of mineral deposits, especially the "Gizilbulag" gold and "Demirli" copper-molybdenum deposits, in the areas under the temporary control of Russian peacekeepers.

The employee of APA sent to Shusha informs that during the 24-day-long action, the participants are chanting different slogans.

The action took place in the morning as well as at night without any incidents in accordance with security regulations.

The participants started the day by singing the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that since December 12, Azerbaijani eco-activists and public representatives have been holding a protest near the post of Russian peacekeepers.

The main demands of the protesters are the arrival of RSC commander Andrey Volkov in the area, creation of necessary conditions for monitoring by Azerbaijani experts, and an end to environmental terrorism on Azerbaijani lands.
