The Russian occupiers planned to capture all of Ukraine in three weeks.

And the West was sure that the Russians would succeed.

Oleksiy Danilov, the Secretary of the National Security Council, told about this on the air of a nationwide telethon.

"Three weeks is inclusive of Lviv. They (Russia. – Ed.) had two plans. The first plan they had was until March 7. By that time they had to finish (capture. – Ed.) the Left Bank and Kyiv. This there was a deadline. It was on this day that a citizen of the Russian Federation arrived in Minsk, and Yanukovych, a citizen of our state in the past. On March 7, he was supposed to be in the territory of Ukraine. Then there was the next stage," Danilov said.

According to him, on the eve of the full-scale invasion, many different representatives of the special structures of our partner countries were sure of such a development of events: occupation, liquidation of the country's top military and political leadership, concentration camps, filtration camps.

"I told everyone: "You just don't know us.

This will not happen." No intelligence agency in the world, no country gave us a chance - at all. They all believed that we would not have such capabilities," said the secretary of the NSDC.

Danilov recalled that the West constantly warned Ukraine that the destruction of the military-political leadership of our country is task #1 for the Russians.

"And they (Western countries. - Ed.) were very annoyed when we said that this would not happen. They believed that we are the same as the Russians. This was a deep mistake by all, including our partners and our non-partners, who today become our partners," he concluded.

Earlier, the Secretary of the National Security Council Oleksiy Danilov spoke about his feelings and actions on the first day of the full-scale invasion.

He also warned of an escalation in the war in February and called to prepare for it.
