Russian citizen found dead in ship's chamber.

Paradip:

Another Russian was found dead in Odisha on Tuesday.

This is the third such case that has come to the fore in the last fortnight.

Giving information, the police said that the Russian, identified as Milakov Sergey, was found dead in a ship anchored at Paradip port in Jagatsinghpur district.

The 51-year-old man was the chief engineer of the ship MB Aladana, which was on its way to Mumbai from Bangladesh's Chittagong port via Paradip.

At around 4.30 am, the Russian citizen was found dead in the ship's chamber.

However, the police could not immediately ascertain the cause of death.

PL Haranand, chairman of Paradip Port Trust, confirmed the death of the Russian engineer and said that the matter is being investigated.

In December, two Russian tourists, including a parliamentarian, were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Rayagada town in southern Odisha.

In Russia, MP Pavel Antonov (65) died on December 24 after allegedly falling from the third floor of a hotel, while his friend Vladimir Bidenov (61) was found dead in his room on December 22.

Both the cases are being investigated by Odisha.
