Metropolitan Venyamin awarded a certificate to the head of colony No. 14 in Navasad, where political prisoners are kept, the press service of the Belarusian Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church reported.

After the service, the Orthodox hierarch "addressed the prisoners with a sermon", in which he "told about the life of the righteous John of Kranstatsky and the miracles that are performed by prayerful appeals to the saint", and also held a conversation with them.

"On this day, the head of PC No. 14, Colonel Vasilevich Yury Ivanovich, and the commander of the 740th anti-aircraft missile regiment, Colonel Soroka Andrei Vasilevich, were honored with episcopal letters of the Barysau Diocese", - says the message of the Belarusian Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church.
