The prosecution pointed out that in the early morning of October 24, 2020, a 19-year-old female college student and several friends went to a KTV in Xinzhuang District, New Taipei City to drink and sing.

At 5 a.m. on the same day, a drunk female college student was helped by a friend to get into the passenger seat of Zheng Nan's taxi.

Zheng Nan found that the female college student was drowsy and unconscious, so he thought there was an opportunity to take advantage of it. He drove his taxi to a side of the road and saw no one around. He kissed the female college student and quickly took off his outer pants and underwear, exposing his lower body. Zheng Nan denied the sexual assault at the hearing, but the Taipei District Court based on evidence such as witness testimony and taxi recorders, determined that Zheng Nan had committed a clear crime, and sentenced him to 3 years and 8 months in prison for the crime of sexual intercourse by plane.

Zheng Nan refused to accept the judgment and appealed to the High Court, and reached a settlement with the female college student, and the compensation was paid. The High Court held that Zheng Nan was a professional taxi driver, and he sexually assaulted the female college student while he was drunk. The high court pleaded guilty, reached a settlement with the female college student, paid the compensation, and expressed regret. The female college student also expressed her willingness to forgive Zheng Nan and agreed to the court to give Zheng Nan a chance of probation. 60 hours of compulsory duty and 20 hours of legal education courses.
