The signing of today's agreement between Bulgargaz and Botash is a key moment in the development of the partnership between Bulgaria and Turkey.

The two held a conversation after an agreement was signed in the Council of Ministers through which Bulgargaz gets access to the terminals and gas transmission network of the Turkish state energy company Botash.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Donev expressed confidence that today's event is a good starting point for achieving even more significant results in the future, which will benefit both countries and the entire region.

The Prime Minister described the agreement as historic because it is the first time that the Republic of Turkey has granted an external company access to its LNG terminals.

At the same time, the agreement provides an opportunity to develop long-term cooperation in the interest of energy diversification.

"Against the background of the severe energy crisis, with united efforts we can achieve much more, both for Bulgaria and Turkey, and for Europe as a whole," noted Prime Minister Donev.
