Ukraine won the

war

started by Russia back in the spring.

But the next decisive phase will be Ukraine's ability to strike Russia's critical military infrastructure.

Military expert Serhiy Grabskyi expressed this opinion on the air of the national telethon, and said that there will be a point after which we can say that this is a turning point in the war.

"In my opinion, we won this war on March 2, 2022. That was the winning point that led to the situation we have today. And now we are fighting to confirm that status to end this war. already our victory. But if we talk about the phases of this war, then the next phase will be the possibility of launching strikes on the enemy's critical infrastructure, exclusively the enemy's military infrastructure, with the aim of making it impossible to launch strikes on the territory of Ukraine," he said.

Grabsky emphasized that it is important to influence the enemy's facilities, his military critical infrastructure, not only on the territory of Ukraine, but outside the territory of Ukraine, in order to make it impossible to create strike groups, to destroy his offensive potential.

"It means that we have long-range forces and means to be able to carry out massive strikes. And when Engels becomes not the only such example, but becomes a system, then we can say that Ukraine has turned the tide and gained a dominant advantage in the air and at sea. And the war will already enter such a waning phase and will end with the defeat of Russia," the military expert summarized.

"Cotton" in Engels

Airplanes that launch missile strikes on Ukraine are based

at Engels airfield .

On December 26, as a result of a drone attack on the Engels-2 airfield,

the air base's control post could be destroyed.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, three Russian servicemen were killed as a result of the strike, but the equipment was allegedly not damaged.

At the same time, Oleksandr Nevzorov reported that 17 soldiers were killed and several fighter jets were damaged.

The first "cotton" in Engels happened on December 5.

At that time,

two Tu-95 missile carriers were damaged

at the air base .

In addition, three Russian soldiers were also killed at that time.

On December 29, explosions were again reported

at this airfield.

According to the information of the occupiers, the Russian anti-aircraft system was activated.

The American Institute of War noted that constant explosions at military facilities in the rear areas of Russia

show the ineffectiveness of its air defense

and also increase criticism of the authorities that it is unable to protect its territory.

Former SBU employee and expert of the "Ukrainian Future Institute" Ivan Stupak noted that the explosions at the airfield in the Russian city of Engels, which is approximately 600 km from the Ukrainian border, show the enemy that there may be new damage to their equipment.

Now

the Russians do not know how far from the Ukrainian border it should be hidden.
