Losses of the Russian army in the direction of
Bakhmut
every day are measured by hundreds of dead and seriously wounded, fierce battles continue there.
Andriy Illenko, an officer of the "Freedom" battalion of the National Guard, told about this on the "Espresso" broadcast.
"Day after day, the situation in the direction of Bakhmut does not change, heavy battles continue. The battle for Bakhmut has been going on since the middle of summer, all this time the enemy is trying to either surround the city or take it by storm, but in fact it has no success. The enemy is throwing large forces, probably all the combat-ready that he has now, that is still left," he said.
According to him, the Defense Forces of Ukraine, which are in the Bakhmut direction, are firmly holding the defined boundaries.
Illenko also noted that Bakhmut is under Ukrainian control.
Fighting is partly ongoing on the outskirts and flanks.
"But we are not talking about the encirclement or capture of Bakhmut by the enemy. The enemy's losses are measured by hundreds of dead and seriously wounded per day, even for Russia, these are too great losses," the officer summarized.
