Military analyst Oleksiy Hetman suggested that the military leadership of the occupiers made a mistake by placing a large number of mobilized people on the eve of New Year's holidays in a converted dormitory in Makiivka.

Since in the Russian army orders are not discussed, but executed, this had exactly such consequences.

He expressed this opinion in a comment on "Channel 24". 

"The location of this place was probably convenient from a logistical point of view. Probably from there it would be possible to transport these people further along the front lines so that they could participate directly in the fighting. And he signed an order or a battle order for them to go there have arrived," Hetman explained.

He added that placing the military alongside the ammunition and equipment was a completely senseless decision.

"I am sure that this person who gave the order was told by subordinates who understand military matters that this cannot be done. But in the Russian army, even if there is an error in the order, they will still force it to be carried out," the expert noted. 

According to him, this object could be fired not only with HIMARS, but also with conventional artillery.

"Long-range artillery of 152 and 155 caliber hits at a distance of 25 kilometers.

Therefore, it could have been an ordinary artillery strike," Hetman emphasized.

In his opinion, after the Russian military arrived at the school converted into a barracks and settled there, our aerial reconnaissance found them.

He does not rule out that the location of the occupiers was pinpointed with the help of radio-electronic warfare.

“If it comes from several sources or from several intelligence groups that are not connected to each other, then this information is true.

And then the decision to attack is made," the expert emphasized.

Then the fire was adjusted and a very powerful blow was delivered.

"This attack had good consequences for us. It's very good that it happened. If these Russian soldiers got to the front line, we would have to neutralize them there," Oleksiy Hetman emphasized.

It will be recalled that Makiivtsi, who were mobilized into the Russian army and were placed in the former dormitory of the vocational school in the "rear area" for the occupiers, were supposed to become the backbone of the group of occupation troops in the East of Ukraine.
